In de grote musicals zoals Billy Elliot, La La Land of The Book of Aladdin wordt veel gedanst en steelt tapdance de show. Het is een uitdagende dansvorm waarbij je met snel voetenwerk ritmische klanken produceert. De metalen plaatjes onder je schoenen zorgen voor de klanken en typerende tonen. De dansvorm fascineert veel mensen. Er wordt net zoals bij de klassieke dans en moderne dans, ook aandacht besteed aan je houding, presentatie en uitstraling. Er zijn veel verschillende soorten tapdance, maar tijdens deze cursus geeft Annefloor les in de stijl van ‘Broadway tap’. Deze vorm sluit het beste aan op muziek- en musicaltheater. De nadruk ligt hierbij niet alleen op het maken van ritme met je voeten, maar ook op het dansen in een choreografie. Als je een danser en een percussionist in één wilt zijn, is tapdance iets voor jou!
