How do I cancel my lesson?

You can cancel your lesson by sending an email to info@dansateliermaastricht.nl.

A one-month notice period applies. Tuition fees remain payable until the end date. Simply stopping attendance does not constitute notice of termination.

Can I switch to a different group or a different level?

Discuss a possible change of course with your teacher first.

Following this meeting, please send an email to info@dansateliermaastricht.nl. A transfer is only possible if there is a place available in the other group and is only final once you have received confirmation of this.

What happens if a class is full?

If a class is full, you can join the waiting list via Bueno.

As soon as a place becomes available again, you will be notified automatically. Your place is only confirmed once you have completed your registration.

What should I wear to class?

Wear clothing that allows you to move freely and safely. Long hair must be tied back during the class. Shoes that have been worn outside must not be worn in the dance studio.

  • Toddler Dance Adventure
    comfortable clothes, socks or bare feet, long hair tied back.

  • Classical ballet
    fitted dancewear, a ballet leotard with tights or leggings, ballet shoes, long hair tied back (preferably in a bun).

  • Jazz dance
    Comfortable, close-fitting dancewear such as leggings, dance trousers, a top or T-shirt, with jazz shoes, dance trainers, socks or bare feet (depending on the class), and long hair tied back.

  • Contemporary
    Comfortable, close-fitting dancewear such as leggings or dance trousers with a top or T-shirt, socks or bare feet, knee pads if doing floor work, and long hair tied back.

  • Hip-hop
    comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely, clean trainers that aren’t worn outside, and long hair tied back.

  • Flamenco
    Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. A skirt is allowed, but not compulsory. Heels or ankle boots, and long hair must be tied back.

  • Heels
    Comfortable, close-fitting clothing, heels and knee pads are recommended, and long hair should be tied back.

  • Exploring Contact
    Soft, comfortable clothing with no sharp zips, buckles or jewellery; bare feet or socks; long hair tied back and jewellery removed.

  • Dance for People with Special Needs
    comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, socks, bare feet or clean indoor shoes, and long hair tied back where possible.

What should I wear to a trial lesson?

You don’t need to buy any special dancewear or dance shoes for a trial lesson. Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move easily, and tie back any long hair.

  • Ballet: a pair of leggings or comfortable trousers with a fitted top and socks.

  • Jazz dance: comfortable clothing with socks, bare feet or clean indoor shoes.

  • Contemporary: comfortable clothing, with socks or bare feet.

  • Hip-hop: comfortable clothes and clean trainers that haven’t been worn outside.

  • Flamenco: comfortable clothes and shoes with heels or ankle boots.

  • Heels: comfortable clothes and heels.

  • Exploring Contact: soft, comfortable clothing and bare feet or socks.

  • Special Needs Dance: comfortable clothing with socks, bare feet or clean indoor shoes.

Don’t buy any special clothing or shoes until after the trial lesson. That way, you’ll avoid buying a very professional dance outfit for a hobby that might turn out to be pottery after all.
