Yvette van der Slik

Yvette has been teaching contemporary dance, improvisation and performance skills for over twenty years. She studied at the Amsterdam School of the Arts and has taught at, amongst others, the ODM/IDA Maastricht preparatory course, Dansatelier Maastricht and the Maastricht Theatre Academy.

She is also a certified mindfulness trainer and practises aikido. She incorporates this knowledge into her dance classes. Her classes often consist of floorwork and partner work, bringing together flow, connection and creativity.

Teaching style in three words: intuitive, fluid, inquisitive.

For Yvette, dance is a way to grow and connect with yourself and others. She wants to convey that feeling to her pupils.
